Dan Glover

Musical Director

After growing up in a musical household, playing percussion and guitar in addition to the piano from an early age, Dan Glover gained a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Edinburgh before going on to train at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts on their one-year diploma in musical direction. Since graduating he has been fortunate enough to pursue a varied and active career as a musical director, orchestrator and composer.

Recent credits as Musical Director: Children of Eden (Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts), Lesley Garrett & Friends (Theatre Royal Haymarket), Cinderella (Wyllyots Theatre, Potters Bar), Anything Goes (Upstairs at the Gatehouse).

As Assistant/Associate: Cats (International Tour), The Sound of Music (UK Tour), The Wedding Singer (UK Tour), Avenue Q (UK Tour), American Idiot (Arts Theatre, London), Side By Side By Sondheim (Brockley Jack).

As Arranger/Orchestrator: A Foreign Field (Workshop, Fortune Theatre), Top Hat (Upstairs at the Gatehouse), Lesley Garrett & Friends (Theatre Royal Haymarket), Anything Goes (Upstairs at the Gatehouse), Little Shop of Horrors (UK Tour), Norma Jeane: the Musical (Lost Theatre, Stockwell), and a number of projects for Acquire, a major new musical theatre choir based in Glasgow.

Composition credits include: Can You Hear Me Running? at Pleasance Theatre Islington, Mirror Me at Greenwich Theatre & Edinburgh Fringe and The Glorious Damnation of Eddie Small at the Union Theatre & Edinburgh Fringe.

While training he worked on a number of shows at Mountview, notably Curtains at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre (as Assistant MD) and the Postgraduate Showcase at the Criterion Theatre (as Musical Director).

Dan also maintains a portfolio of teaching and MD work at a number of educational institutions in and around London, including Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Arts Educational Schools and the University of Chichester.
